My personal ways to relieve stress and anxiety

Stress is a common thing. It happens to everyone, showing that stress is totally normal. But it is not okay to feel stress all the time. Stress can lead to a bigger breakdown such as anxiety and depression. Here, we can see that stress could be a signal or warning to our body. This signal is reminding us to give ourselves a time to relax, recharge and seek that inner peace. Don't insult the signal. Respect, listen and accept the signal because that's when the solution is going to bloom. There's several ways to focus and give a time to ourselves,

1. Turn off your phone

This could be a hard decision to do but this small gadget can be the biggest distraction. For example, phone can caused us to procrastinate our works which we will end up having more works at the end of the day and stress will occur. All you need to do is to turn it off for couple of hours while you are focusing on yourself

2. Hot bath

A hot bath is a great way to kick things off. Making bubbles, adding scented oil and even a bath bombs can bump up the soothing factors. Hot bath will give a great relaxation because it helps loosen up your muscles.

3. Nice warm food and drink

Drinks such as hot chocolate and tea can play an important role to soothe stress away. Warm food such as soup can help the body sweats and release the toxins from the body. Take your time to sit and enjoy the meal because food is a healing and blessing.

   4. Running

When you feel like running away from your problem, just wear those sport shoes, tune in your favourite song and run. Running can help increase your metabolism and help sweat out toxins from your body. Running will make you feel tired afterwards and this is when you will have the best rest.

 5. Make time for fun

Reading, playing games or watching a movie will make you forget the personal stress in no time.

6. Let the emotion out

Don't bottle up your feelings, share your problems with your trusted one. If you need to cry, just let it all out because keeping everything by yourselves will make the stress worse.

  7. Reconnect with yourself  by doing something that will make you happy

Doing things that you love such as drawing, baking and travelling will give you time to focus on yourself. This thing can give a great calmness and decrease the stress level.

This is just my personal tips on how to relieve stress but you know yourselves more than anyone else.  Try to figure and understand how does your body reacts to stress and find the best way to soothe it away. Never compare yourself with others because we are all built differently and that’s what makes every each of us special.
